E-Waste Segregation

An awareness programme on E-Waste Segregation was conducted at National Public School, Yeshwanthpur on Monday, 29 June 2026, for the students of Class 5 under the Eco Club activity. The activity promoted awareness about responsible disposal of electronic waste and environmental conservation.
Teachers introduced the concept of e-waste, highlighted its harmful effects on the environment and explained the importance of proper e-waste disposal. Students learnt to identify common e-waste items such as old mobile phones, batteries, chargers, earphones, keyboards and electronic toys. A hands-on segregation activity was conducted, during which students’ classified different types of waste into appropriate categories.
Students participated enthusiastically in the activity by responding to the question. They also took a pledge to raise awareness among their family members and friends about the safe disposal of e-waste. The programme successfully enhanced their understanding of e-waste management and inspired them to adopt eco-friendly practices, contributing to a cleaner and greener environment.
