CBSE Capacity Building Workshop on the Usage of AI in Classrooms

National Public School, Yeshwanthpur organised a ‘CBSE Capacity Building Workshop on the Usage of AI in Classrooms’ on Saturday, 28 July 2025. Distinguished educationists Ms Jerry Brinda Solomon, Principal of Army Public School and Ms Kavitha Sundramoorthy, Principal of Shiksha International Academy, were the resource people. This initiative by our Principal, Ms Sheeja Manoj, was a vital step towards strengthening our teaching methodologies, harnessing technology equipping teachers with practical tools, insights and strategies to seamlessly integrate artificial intelligence into the pedagogy to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
The workshop highlighted not only to elevate student engagement but also foster critical thinking, creativity and individualised learning experiences. It wasn’t just about learning new skills—it’s about transforming every classroom into an environment where AI empowers both teachers and students to reach new heights in understanding and growth. Participants explored practical applications hands-on approaches to lesson planning, ethical guidelines and classroom management techniques informed by global best practices and Open AI’s innovative educational resources like crafting AI lesson plans, worksheet generation, deploying voice-to-text tools, designing quizzes with AI assistance, etc.
The workshop gave an overview on customised lesson plans, adaptive assessments, making of worksheets, voice-to-text, multilingual support and assistive tools that helped educators to get personalised worksheets to cater to the different levels of IQ of students thereby helping them to learn at their own pace. The workshop transcended mere skill acquisition; it reimagined classrooms as dynamic ecosystems where AI empowers educators and learners alike.
