Mom was always Right!
Class: 12B Date: 2 to 4 June 2025
The students of Class 12 B at National Public School, Yeshwanthpur, conducted a thought-provoking class assembly on the theme “Mom Was Always Right!”, reflecting on timeless wisdom and its relevance in today’s tech-driven world. Day 1 began with an insightful thought for the Day that set the tone for the assembly. Day 2 featured a compelling skit that showcased how smartphones and digital distractions can mislead students. The performance vividly illustrated how excessive screen time hampers attention span, reduces real-life social interaction and curtails the development of independent thinking and problem-solving abilities. The skit effectively used humor and emotion to depict the gap between virtual learning and true understanding. On day 3, students concluded the assembly with a powerful message: “While technology undoubtedly supports growth and innovation, overreliance on it can weaken meaningful human connections and diminish critical thinking skills”.
