Voices that know votes that count
Class: 12D Date: 19 June 2025
The students of class 12 D at National Public School, Yeswanthpur conducted an interesting assembly on the theme ‘Voices that know votes that count.’ The topic was introduced through a quiz on historic leaders and electoral process in India. The importance of voting a right candidate was highlighted through a satirical short skit about the current political leaders. It was further reiterated that voting is a valuable democratic tool of a citizen. However, selecting the right candidate in an election can be complex due to the multitude of factors involved—ranging from political ideology and personal values to social and economic impacts. They demonstrated how the ‘SWOT’ analysis is a valuable framework for evaluating political candidates and issues in a clear, objective and strategic manner.
The message sent across was loud and clear to the students that the responsibility to choose the right candidate rests on their shoulders. So as an awakened future citizen, younger generation needs to be proactive in voting decision.
