The Power of Reading
Class: 2C Date: 1 and 2 December 2025
The students of Class 2C presented their assembly on the topic ‘The Power of Reading’ on Monday, 1 December and Tuesday, 2 December 2025. The objective was to inspire students to recognise the importance of reading in their daily lives, understand how it strengthens knowledge, imagination and communication skills and encourage them to develop a lifelong love for books and learning.
On Day 1, the assembly began with a thought for the day related to Reading Books, followed by the ‘Word of the Month’ presented by 1C students. They presented the word ‘AROMA’ through a small conversation elucidating it’s meaning and pronunciation and made sentences related to the word connecting it with the different scenario.
On Day 2, the assembly began with another insightful thought, and the significance of reading was shared through a short presentation with placards that highlighted its benefits for learning, creativity and personal growth. Students listened attentively as speakers explained how regular reading can improve vocabulary, knowledge and critical thinking. The two-day assembly on ‘The Power of Reading’ successfully deepened students’ understanding of the value of reading and its impact on their overall growth.
